DESCRIPTION

We are looking to hire a leader for Enterprise Sales for Amazon Freight, leading a team of Sales Managers. You and your team will be responsible for acquiring and launching new Enterprise shippers on Amazon Freight services. You will work on defining our go to market strategy and identify business opportunities to go after. You will work with internal stakeholders to enable the business growth. This is a senior role to spearhead Amazon Freight business growth. The successful candidate will be results driven, highly analytical, customer obsessed, and ready to roll up the sleeves to grow this business.

Key job responsibilities

  • Recruit Shippers onto the program and achieve sales and volume goals with best-in-class service.
  • Lead a team of Sales managers and enable them to achieve sales and volume goals and help them to grow and develop in the organization.
  • Nurture and grow engagements with existing Shippers
  • Be the voice of the customer (Shipper) to guide product development and iterations.
  • Lead new projects and initiatives to solve customer pain points and improve shipper experience.

Amazon Freight (AF) is a B2B start-up within Amazon Transportation Services in Europe.
Amazon Freight allows external businesses ("shippers") to use Amazon's transportation technology and network to transport products in bulk across Europe. This is an innovative technology-driven solution for the logistics needs of small and large businesses and is scaling rapidly as an offering.

This role sits within the Business Development team, part of Amazon Freight Commercial team. Focusing on new customer acquisition in the EU market, Head of Enterprise Sales is expected to attract new businesses, tailor our product to customers' needs and close business deals with the needle-moving shippers for Amazon Freight.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent track record of delivering results
  • Prior work experience in leading commercial (sales/ business development/ account management/ vendor management) teams
  • People skills and ability to influence others
  • Quantitative and qualitative problem-solving skills
  • Entrepreneurial, self-sufficient and able to operate in a fluid, ambiguous environment
  • Ability to communicate across all levels of management
  • Excellent verbal and written skills in German


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • MBA
  • Prior experience working in transportation/ freight/ logistics/ supply-chain industry
  • Fluency in French, Italian or Spanish
