AWS RoboMaker is revolutionizing robotics application development, robot simulation, and robot fleet management. We are looking for a frontend engineer to join our team and build world-class web applications for robotics. As a frontend engineer on the RoboMaker team you will have an opportunity to make the most out of the latest frontend web technologies and play an integral role in a product that is changing the robotics industry.

In this role, you will be building interactive applications that our customers engage with on a daily basis, to simplify and eliminate the heavy lifting that robotics developers are facing. You will drive design and architecture decisions that impact long term vision, identify and investigate new technologies, and prototype solutions, to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Our team puts a high value on work-life balance. Most days, our entire team is co-located in the office, but we're also flexible when people occasionally need to work from home. We generally keep core in-office hours from 10am to 4pm. About half of us come in earlier and the other half of us stay later.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
  • 1+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficiency in modern web technologies and design, e.g. JavaScript/TypeScript, NodeJS, WebPack, CSS, HTML
  • Experience building large-scale, high-volume web applications using front-end frameworks, e.g. React/Redux and AngularJS.
  • Demonstrated technical leadership with the ability to decompose a problem into clear software and UX design activities, identify risks and mitigations
