You will take end-to-end ownership of a diverse range of projects and initiatives, utilizing your communication skills to interface with and influence a broad range of multi-disciplinary teams. Specifically, we are looking for a highly motivated Finance Manager (FM) with strong program management skills to partner with our software development teams in building out financial and operational systems for the global AWS business. The success of these systems will be instrumental to AWS' ability to scale forecasting and capacity for a fast growing and increasingly complex global organization.
This position will play an integral role in ensuring the systems are accurate and support the right financial and business analysis for the Infrastructure finance organization. This role will support and enable the development and automation of complex reporting and analysis that delivers the right information to multiple layers of the AWS organization.
This position requires a proactive, highly motivated individual with an aptitude for critical thinking, process improvement, and who can assist in the strategic system development around the globe. This person will be expected to take ownership and deliver results. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity, is analytical, detail oriented and possesses the ability to work well with cross-functional teams including world-wide AWS, finance, and software development teams.

This role's responsibilities include:

• Monitor compliance with controls and systems, and develop new processes and controls to support the fast-growing, global AWS business.
• Assisting global customers across multiple finance and operations teams in driving system automation of analysis that provides visibility to manage the business and opportunities to optimize cash flow.
• Assisting software development teams in identifying customer requirements and prioritizing requests.
• Drive automation, efficiency, and accuracy in our planning and controllership.
• Continuously evaluating the internal controls, and improving them through audits and remediation of deficiencies.
• Robust documentation and communication of projects.
• Providing analytical support for AWS software development teams.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business or related field and a minimum 7 years of finance experience, OR master's degree and 5 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1 plus year of prior experience in a Program Management or Project Management role.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Solid business judgment and controllership focus.
• Experience optimizing finance processes for speed, agility, and insight.
• Demonstrated ability to dive deep on ambiguous challenges and deliver actionable insight.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a customer focused, professional demeanor.
• Experience with data extraction and modeling using SQL, Power Query, Python or similar tools.
• Ability to work independently and self-motivate in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
• Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workload.
• Experience in TM1 a plus.
• MBA preferred.
• PMP a plus.
