Amazon Transportation Services is expanding rapidly and this role will help provide financial leadership and data driven insights as we continue to expand. This is a perfect position for someone who knows how develop people, manage projects across multiple teams and how to manage fast and smart. You will also provide the business with big leadership bringing a deep knowledge and a proven record of accomplishment. You already know how to make sense between which details that make all the difference, and those that don't add value. You know the difference between investing wisely and money wasted.

Job Responsibilities include:

  • Ability to manage or lead others and further develop exceptional talent
  • Expertise collecting, analyzing and managing quantitative data and creating meaningful reports to lead business improvement and cost reductions
  • Root cause analysis and uncovering core issues using data, then assisting the network improve
  • Recommend, develop, and implement policies and programs that guide the organization in maintaining and improving its competitive position and profitability
  • Work with data source providers and technology teams to ensure that key decision data is accurate, automated and timely
  • Proven ability to manage a team with competing priorities & providing level-headed guidance during unexpected events

Key Characteristics:

  • Proven expertise managing, evaluating, analyzing quickly and creating meaningful business reporting
  • Proven ability to develop strategic relationships with your business partners – you influence the decisions. You can root cause issues quickly and uncover core issues using data, then assist, consult with, and teach the business how decisions affect costs in their sites and create new mechanisms as they are needed
  • Proven ability to manage a team with competing priorities & provide level-headed guidance during unexpected events

Basic Qualifications

  • BA/BS Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Engineering or similar discipline with analytical bias
  • 5+ years' relevant experience in positions that require analysis, reporting financial results, forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and data interpretation of business impact and results
  • 3+ years' experience directly supervising teams and developing people
  • 3+ years' experience performing financial and ad hoc analysis using data reporting tools
  • 3+ years' experience with Excel advanced functions (macros, index, conditional list, arrays, pivots, lookups)
  • 3+ years' experience working with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA and/or Professional certification (CPA/CMA/Qualified Accounting certificate) + relevant experience
  • Advanced experience demonstrating problem solving and root cause analysis
  • Highly analytical, detail oriented and strong business sense; proven ability to manage new ideas and creative solutions and demonstrated experience managing such mechanisms to an end result
  • Ability to manage tight deadlines, prioritize workload and achieve effective results in a fast-paced, dynamic, ever-growing and often ambiguous environment; effective multi-tasking skills are vital
  • Demonstrated effective communication and presentation skills working with multiple peer groups and senior levels of management
  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (i.e. SQL, Tableua, MSAccess, Essbase and/or Cognos) and other financial systems (i.e. Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards), providing solutions based on results of ad hoc analyses to senior management for strategic decision-making
  • Previous experience within a Manufacturing, Distribution Center or Logistics processes and systems a plus
  • Career progression and willingness to relocate for advancement opportunities
