Executive Assistant, AWS Global Public Policy and Economic Development

We are looking for an exceptionally bright, well organized and self-motivated Executive Assistant to join the AWS Global Public Policy Team. This role will support the VP of AWS Global Public Policy as well as the Director of AWS Economic Development.
Reporting to the Program Manager, this role will support two executives with administrative tasks, such as travel coordination, new hire onboarding, meeting coordination, expenses, and calendaring. This position will require superior attention to detail, great organization and prioritization skills, the ability to plan ahead and meet tight deadlines, all while juggling multiple critical requests. A high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information and professionalism in dealing with leaders and the ability to earn trust are important. The Executive Assistant will act as a seamless extension of the Executives and will work closely with other Executive Assistants throughout the Public Policy organization. The candidate will be comfortable in a fast-paced, goal-focused environment, while maintaining great flexibility, a sense of humor and composure.
The most successful candidate will have strong verbal and written communication skills and possess the ability to complete complex tasks and projects with minimal guidance. They should react with the appropriate urgency to situations that require quick turnaround, and take positive action without having to know the total picture while maintaining the confidence to ask for guidance when necessary.
Key Responsibilities include:
Heavy scheduling and management of calendars in several time zones
Organize and manage extensive domestic and international travel
Manage expense report coordination and submission
Communicate effectively with a partially virtual team
Organize, execute and assist with team activities for Economic Development
Support the broader Economic Development Public Policy team with projects (e.g. Compliance and PO's)
Track and help drive completion of key actions and follow-up on outstanding items
Work closely with the Program Manager to provide support to the organization
• 5+ years of experience as an Executive Assistant
• Experience with executive level calendar management
• Experience with domestic and/or international travel coordination
• Experience with Microsoft Office Products
Excellent organization, planning, time management and problem-solving
Ability to handle administrative details independently, while keeping team members informed
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to build effective working relationships and earn trust
