Job Description

Since then, we have produced groundbreaking devices like Fire tablets, Fire TV and Amazon Echo. What will you help us create?

We are seeking an exceptionally bright, multitasking and self-motivated individual as administrative support for the three Directors of the Lab 126 Finance team. This exciting role requires superior calendaring and prioritization skills, attention to detail, the ability to meet tight deadlines, tremendous organizational skills, and the ability to juggle multiple critical requests simultaneously. A high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information and professionalism in dealing with senior professionals inside and outside the company is important, as is a good sense of humor. The successful candidate will possess the ability to complete complex tasks and projects quickly with little to no guidance, react with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick turnaround, and take effective action without having to know the total picture. The ability to think and plan ahead, delegate responsibilities appropriately, and manage time effectively are critical for success in this role. Understanding basic company organization, working relationships, and business partner roles and responsibilities are important as this position will work closely with other assistants across the business and Finance team. As part of the Amazon Devices and Services Organization, we work as a global team, dealing with multiple stakeholders across the business and product teams: therefore it is essential to have the ability to work successfully in a team environment and build effective working relationships inside and outside the group, as well as across the organization.

Key responsibilities include:

§ Prioritize and balance the needs of with Amazon Device Finance, Amazon Finance, and Lab 126 Finance.

§ High level management and prioritization of multiple complex calendars and scheduling requirements

§ Attend key meetings in order to track and help drive completion of key deliverables, and follow up on outstanding items

§ Drive key team activities and support functions (such as staff meeting agendas, all-hands meetings, supply ordering)

§ Update team organizational charts

§ Manage both individual and group logistics

§ Travel booking, coordination and management

§ Expense Reports

§ Participate in planning and coordination of overall Amazon Finance events

§ Start-to-finish planning, execution and management of Amazon Device & Appstore Finance team events

§ Proactively address, assist and direct inquiries or actionable items

§ Delegate actionable items and responsibilities appropriately

§ Cross support and backup for other Ateam EAs

§ Have fun at work and help others do the same

Basic Qualifications

§ Minimum of three years of experience assisting at the executive level in a fast-paced environment

§ Three years of experience with Microsoft Outlook is required, as well as at least one year experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Visio

§ Experience in handling confidential information and dealing with professionals, both internal and external.

§ Detailed planning, time management and organizational skills are required

§ Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

§ Positive, proactive and able to always exercise great judgment

§ Ability to work in a highly ambiguous environment

§ Ability to work cross functionally, and manage multiple inputs from different teams to a single deliverable
