Executive Assistant

Description

Amazon.com is seeking an exceptionally bright and motivated Executive Assistant to work on the administrative team for the AWS executive office. This role is responsible for all aspects of meeting and calendar coordination and has the opportunity to manage special projects. You're the ideal candidate if you can work with grace and a sense of humor, while handling a high volume of work, in a sometimes ambiguous and demanding environment. You must possess the desire and ability to thrive in a team-based environment and flourish behind the scenes. You will be a solutions oriented problem solver, with great organization skills and strong attention to detail. In addition to core administrative duties, this position has significant opportunity for growth and development. The ideal candidate will possess excellent written and oral communication skills, be proficient in all Microsoft Office applications and have full command of MS Outlook. A high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information and professionalism in dealing with senior professionals inside and outside the company is key. 5+ years of administrative experience is a plus

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years executive administrative experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
  • Ability to work in an ambiguous environment; self-motivated
  • Ability to complete a high volume of tasks with minimal direction
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Ability to learn using new tools
  • Positive, proactive, and able to have fun at work and help others do the same
  • Grace under pressure, and the ability to switch gears at a moment's notice
  • Experience with domestic and international travel coordination
  • Ability to handle administrative details independently, while exercising good judgment in keeping team members adequately informed
  • Ability to utilize sound business judgment
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Exceptional planning, time management and organizational skills
  • Experience handling confidential information and dealing with professionals inside and outside of the company

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree a plus
  • Great customer focus
