Do you like Alexa? Ever thought of using Alexa in your car? Then we need you on the Alexa Automotive team where you will enable Alexa the voice controlled personal assistant behind the Amazon Echo to provide seamless experiences for customers in their cars!
As a Software Development Engineer on our team, you will integrate Alexa deeply with every car it runs on by designing and writing new code and building the best-in-breed voice service, Alexa, in the car to thrill and delight our customers!

As a member of the team, you will:
• Work with business partners, software development engineers and testers UI/UX designers to design, implement, test, launch, document, and maintain complex software applications, tools, and systems.

• Have significant influence on our overall strategy by helping define these product features, drive the system architecture, and spearhead the best practices that enable a quality product.

• Learn a variety of cutting-edge technologies, development processes, and develop well-rounded skills such as leadership, and effective project management. You will also mentor junior software development engineers.


• 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
• 1+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems.


Software Development Engineers who have any of the following qualifications are particularly valuable to our team:
• Passionate about learning new technologies
• 5+ years of C++ and Android development experience
• 2+ years of experience in Qt
• 1+ years AGL or GENIVI development experience
• Eager to learn and learn fast, enjoy a fast paced environment
• Self-directed, demonstrate leadership potential and a team player
• Driven to provide the best customer experience via technology
• Proven ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team
• Experience with scalable distributed systems and service oriented architectures
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Ability to drive innovation
