DESCRIPTION

AMXL BI is looking for passionate programmers and analysts capable of handling single-threaded projects for rapid prototyping and diving-catch engineer support.

As a part of the team, you'll be delving into often-unconventional means of problem solving and development, with higher independent control of each step of the development process. You will be working directly with stakeholders to assess requirements and discuss paths forward.

Your project pool will have an enormous amount of variety, including anything from front-end scripting to software component design.

Applicants should be familiar with general Warehouse Operations terminology and strategies, as well as general programming terminology. Familiarity with Scrum / Agile is not required, but is a plus. Ability to manage and report on one's own project status, manage risk, and accept/reject new projects is required.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 1+ Year of Warehouse Operations Experience (Lead or Associate)
• 1+ Year of non-academic Software Development experience
• Familiarity and demonstrated ability to work with Visual Basic for Applications & SQL
• Understanding of Version Control & Continuous Deployment
• Demonstrated ability to train / teach other Technical Employees
• 1+ Year of experience with one or more of the following: Ruby, Javascript / Typescript, Python
• Any C Family Language (C, C++, C#)
• Ability to read 3 or more of the following: Java, Haskell, Erlang or Lua
• Demonstrated usage of multiple AWS Services
• Experience with standard development tooling (IDEs/Text Editors, Markdown, Regular Expressions, Unix/CLI, API Documentation, Testing Frameworks)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Six Sigma / LEAN principles knowledge
• Knowledge OR usage of development methodologies (Kanban, Scrum, Agile, XP)
