Cycle Counter


Woot! is looking to hire an enthusiastic Cycle Counter with a positive attitude, team mentality, high ethical standards, good judgment, and the requisite skills necessary to produce quality work within in a fast paced warehouse environment.

Under the direction of the Inventory Control Supervisor the Cycle Counter is responsible for performing all functions necessary to maintaining an accurate physical inventory, including daily cycle counts, and variance research.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Execute and report a variety of inventory counts as assigned by the Inventory Control Supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Research inventory discrepancies as directed by the Inventory Control Supervisor.
  • Have or obtain warehouse machinery certification (scissor lift, forklift etc.) within 90 days of employment.
  • Capability of and willingness to use warehouse machinery (scissor lift, forklifts etc.) after completion of certification.
  • Demonstrate ability to use an RF gun to receive and complete tasks as given by the Inventory Control Supervisor.
  • Damage control. Sort through damaged product and report findings to Inventory Control Supervisor.
  • Report distressed product and/or incorrect locations to the Inventory Control Supervisor.
  • Frequently vary tasks based on the direction of the Inventory Control Supervisor.
  • Must have working knowledge of inventory control department functions, OSHA safety regulations, company rules, policies and procedures.
  • Follow all OSHA safety regulations, company rules, policies and procedures.
  • Must inform the Inventory Control Supervisor of any violations of OSHA safety regulations, company rules, policies and/or procedures.
  • Bring inventory discrepancies to the attention of the Inventory Control Supervisor to avoid customer order problems.
  • Assist in daily clean up of facility, performing all assigned general maintenance and housekeeping duties to ensure a safe, clean, and orderly work environment is maintained.
  • Actively participate in team atmosphere to achieve department and company goals.
  • Actively participate in ongoing training programs as administered by supervisors, trainers, and human resources.
  • Solve complex problems and deal with a variety of inventory control situations.
  • Perform assigned job duties under constant time pressures.
  • Employ high quality oral communication skills to recognize problems and achieve the best solution.
  • Develop and maintain working relationships with Supervisors, Managers, and fellow associates within the facility.
  • Strong attention to detail with an ability to distinguish between same and different colors, styles, products etc.

Basic Qualifications

  • Must be able to work overtime, nights and weekends when required.
  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
  • Must speak, read, and write English proficiently.
  • Demonstrate basic material handling, picking, packaging, and warehouse skills.
  • Computer literate with RF gun experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual: English/Spanish
  • Computer literate with RF gun experience.
  • 6 months to 1-year experience in Inventory Control within a high volume Distribution Center environment.
  • Ability to effectively interact, communicate, cooperate, and get along with coworkers, team leads and management.
  • Must have reliable transportation and a good work ethic.
  • Ability to read and write numbers, perform accurate counts, and utilize basic math skills.
  • Capacity to understand and follow all instructions, safety regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Accurately and efficiently perform assigned task while maintaining a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods.
  • Ability to bend, reach, lift, push, pull, and/or stack boxes up to 50 pounds regularly and 75 pounds occasionally.
  • Must be able to contribute to a team-working environment.
  • Willingness to work in hot/cold temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noises, and strong odors.
  • Capability to work in high paced, deadline-oriented environment.
