Contracts Manager, Amazon Studios

We are looking for a Contracts Manager to support Amazon Studio's rapidly growing scripted TV business. We are currently looking for someone who has the uncanny ability to always know where they are needed, can identify and implement process improvements, and can effectively work cross-functionally with other teams. Your responsibilities will include: drafting and negotiating short-form agreements including writer and producer certificates, consulting agreements and turnaround agreements; assisting with various matters pertaining to underlying rights including drafting rights option memoranda, tracking rights option periods, and reviewing chain of title; drafting greenlight documents and series pick-up notices; working with Amazon Studios creative, business affairs, production and finance teams ; developing internal processes to track transactions from beginning to end; setting up and maintaining rights management systems; and coordinating with clients and outside counsel.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a contracts manager
  • Experience working with third party contractual relationships

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Previous in-house legal experience a plus
