Consumer Insights & Release Planning Intern, AVOD Content & Programming

DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a collaborative, strategic, and self-motivated intern to support the AVOD Research and Release Planning teams as they gather insights and craft strategies to launch our Original movies and series. We are looking for a creative and savvy problem-solver with a passion for TV and movies who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Key job responsibilities
This role sits at the intersection of insights with release planning - this intern will learn about the process to develop, refine, and execute launch strategies for AVOD Originals. As an intern you will get to work on numerous projects across regions including the US, UK, and Germany and get your hands dirty by diving deep into data and analytics to pull content performance insights that help inform future release strategies. Additionally, the intern will dive deep into the competitive streaming and television landscape to understand content and scheduling trends, synthesizing actionable insights and recommendations. The AVOD Consumer Insights and Release Planning teams partner with a variety of departments across Amazon. As such, this intern will work across the entire Content & Programming team which includes creative and development, licensing, strategy, program management, and research. The role will also have exposure to creative, marketing, PR, production, post-production, business affairs, legal, finance, and ad sales.

Amazon Freevee (formerly known as IMDb TV) launched in 2019 as a free, streaming, ad-supported video on demand (AVOD) service replete with a library of licensed content that enabled customers to watch hit TV shows, top Hollywood movies and more without purchasing a subscription. Amazon Studios' creative leadership of Freevee - both for licensed content and its push into Originals - complements the Prime Video offering.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Candidates must be active students during the time of their internship. A student is characterized by: any candidate currently enrolled in an accredited degree program, including Bachelor's, Master's, PhD, Associate, certificates, and diplomas.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Prior desired experience for our intern would be internships in and/or a passion for content, technology, brands, digital media, and digital video. The intern should make sure that they're ready to listen and learn, and as they earn trust, their scope will evolve.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $16.83/hr in our lowest geographic market up to $40.43/hr in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
