Communication Partner

Description

Amazon is seeking bright, motivated, hardworking individuals to fill Communication Partner positions at our fulfillment center in Lewisberry, PA. The ideal candidate possesses a strong work ethic, high level of integrity, attention to detail, the ability to meet deadlines, and a commitment to customer service as it relates to product fulfillment.

The Communication Partner will aid in interpreting for our Spanish speaking Amazon Associates as necessary during sensitive conversations with complex topics. Examples include when reviewing a safety incident, a visit to Amcare, performance management conversations, or other interactions with HR. The Communication Partner may also on occasion be asked to create or execute job related tasks and projects.

When the Communication Partner is not being utilized, he or she will be placed back in their original path and will be expected to perform as per the site's standard productivity goals.

Work Environment

  • Work with and/or around moving mechanical parts
  • Noise level varies and can be loud
  • Temperature in the fulfillment center may vary between 60 and 90 degrees, and will occasionally exceed 90 degrees
  • Very fast pace environment

Basic Qualifications

  • Applicants must be bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Must be comfortable and able to act with confidentiality and impartiality in matters of a sensitive nature
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must have a High School diploma or equivalent
  • Must be willing and able to work all shifts
  • Must be willing and able to work overtime as required
  • Must be able to read, write and take direction in English
  • Must be able to lift up to 49 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Must be able to stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours
  • Must be willing and able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
  • Must be able to continuously climb and descend stairs safely (applies to sites with stairs)
  • Must be able to work on a secure mezzanine at a height of up to 40 feet (applies to buildings with mezzanines)
  • Must be willing and able to work on powered equipment-for example forklift or cherry picker

  • Computer experience
  • Excellent communication skills- able to coach, train and assist team members
  • Thinks outside of the box; searches for innovative solutions
