Business Intelligence Engineer

We are currently looking for a Business Intelligence Professional to drive actionable insights through sustainable analytical solutions. We need an analyst who is passionate about the Customer Experience, who thinks and acts globally, and who has the ability to contribute major new innovations to join our Capacity Planning and Business Intelligence team supporting HR Shared Services.

This role will be responsible for answering questions about the state of our business, generating new insights to help guide the strategic direction of Client Services, building and maintaining reports for all levels of our organization, integrating new data sources into a team-specific Redshift cluster, and ensuring data cleanliness and accuracy. This role will help define and create a reporting infrastructure and distribution model by working closely with other technical partners. You will have the opportunity to work with exciting new technologies like RedShift, Tableau, MicroStrategy and many more. In this role, you will partner closely with operational leadership and technical partners to set requirements and build solutions.

  • Apply direction and confidence to design qualitative and quantitative analysis
  • Stand before stakeholders, including senior leaders to clearly communicate strategic findings and recommendations
  • Partner with key members from technical and non-technical teams to build and deliver requirements
  • Prioritize and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Translate technical concepts into business terms
  • Advocate for working backwards from the customer

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Math/Statistics/Engineering or other equivalent quantitative discipline
  • 3-5 years of experience in data modeling / advanced business analytics
  • Expert knowledge in SQL and experience working with complex data sets
  • Working knowledge of Tableau, Microstrategy, or equivalent data visualization solutions
  • Comfort/experience communicating and influencing across job levels with both internal and external partners is a must
  • Ability to push back, foresee potential issues, and advocate for relentless improvement
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity easily and shifting priorities
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
  • Experience working with large data sets in data warehouse environments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building and analyzing models using various statistical tools for forecasting and optimization
  • Proficient in statistical programming languages such as R, SAS, Python
  • Knowledge of scripting for automation
  • Experience with AWS solutions
