Business Financial Analyst - Billing (World Wide Public Sector) , ADC Business Operations

DESCRIPTION

You will support business financial analysis within the Worldwide Public Sector (WWPS) Sales Operations organization. This will be a pivotal role that enables you to have significant business impact through your direct involvement in customer billing, financial modeling, reporting, forecasting, data quality and operations support.

This position is responsible for conducting monthly billing for specific customer accounts. The role's responsibilities includes invoicing customers, resolving customer billing issues, building and maintaining customer spend dashboards and identifying and implementing process improvement.

You will have the ability to think strategically, act tactically, write effectively, and display strong analytical and critical thinking skills. The candidate must also be able to build strong cross-group working relationships and demonstrate exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to:
  • Lead all aspects of monthly billing and invoicing for assigned customers
  • Respond and resolve billing-related discrepancies and questions
  • Extract raw usage and financial data from business databases and data warehouse
  • Perform analytics to produce meaningful reports that enable decision making
  • Collaborate with internal AWS groups to ensure funding and financials are in line with customer requirements
  • Create methods for automating financial reporting and data analysis to enhance efficiency
  • Consult with managers to ensure that financial adjustments are made in accordance with program changes
  • Respond to data calls and inquiries from the program management office and services teams
  • Work with the partner teams to ensure timely and accurate tracking of accounts
This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen and must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience in the areas of finance, business management and/or sales operations in mid-to-large scale global Sales Organization
  • 3+ years of experience with the development and implementation of systems, processes and tools utilized for CRM
  • 3+ years of experience using BI tools, CRM software, and Excel
  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills are a must, as well as the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations.
  • Self-motivated, action-oriented , multi-tasking individual with a great sense of urgency and follow-through
  • Ability to conduct sophisticated and creative analysis of complex data and translate the results into actionable deliverables, messages, and presentations
  • Motivated self-starter who is proactive and action-oriented
  • Able to operate successfully in a lean, fast-paced organization that can scale quickly
  • Exhibits sound business judgment, strong analytical skills, and a proven track record of taking ownership and leading data-driven analyses to support and grow a business.
  • Experience working within a high-growth, technology company would be beneficial
  • Familiarity with Public Sector and knowledge of government acquisitions along with applicable mandates and polices that govern the process
  • Meets/exceeds Amazon's leadership principles requirements for this role
  • Meets/exceeds Amazon's functional/technical depth and complexity
