Content Risk Management (コンテンツ リスク管理) チームでは今、Kindle 本のセルフ出版オペレーションで活躍してくださる Content Operations Manager (コンテンツ オペレーション マネージャー) を募集しています。

Responsibilities:
• コンテンツ スペシャリスト チームの主導。
• 組織の方針と慣習に従った監督責任の履行および率先垂範。
• チーム オペレーション業務における目標の設定と達成。
• 作業の割り当てと指示、パフォーマンス評価、勤務評定、問題解決、チームメンバーのニーズ対応。
• 新規プロセスの標準作業手順書 (SOP) の作成と徹底。
• テクノロジーと革新性を活かした、リスク管理業務 (拡張性、効率性、スコープなど) の継続的な改善。
• リスク評価方法におけるギャップの特定とエスカレーション、リスク軽減に対する提案。

The Content Risk Management team is seeking a Content Operations Manager for our Kindle Books Self-Publishing Operation.

The team goal is to minimize the customer and business risk associated with copyright, inappropriate content, and disappointing content as well as detecting fraud and program abuse. It is a crucial role to identify and eliminate any negative reader or publisher experience. This team leverages and applies innovating technologies such as ML to identify and eliminate any risk.

Responsibilities:
• Lead and supervise a team of Content Specialists.
• Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures and serve as a role model to employees.
• Accountability for setting and meeting team operational goals
• Assign and direct work; appraise performance; reward and discipline employees; resolve problems; and address staffing needs;
• Standard Operating Procedures development and roll-out, especially related to new process creation.
• Leverage technology and process innovation to bring continuous improvement to the risk management operation (scalability, efficiency, scope, etc.)
• Identify and escalate gaps in risk assessment methodology and make recommendations for risk mitigation
• This position requires a candidate with the proven ability to drive process improvements and new process creation as well as the ability to keep pace with our growth while motivating others to meet the challenges of an extremely deadline-driven environment.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Basic Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
• A passion for books and reading.
• Exceptional written communication.
• Bachelor's Degree is required.
• Experience with management of a minimum of 5 employees (including payroll, performance management and work-flow assignment).
• A proven ability to identify new areas of opportunity and invent processes to address those opportunities using expertise in disciplines such as business analysis and process engineering and scaling with software/automation.
• Ability to speak to performance metrics (how, when, who).
• Prior experience on process improvement.
• Demonstrated ability to be successful in a highly fluid, fast-paced and ambiguous environment.
• Japanese and English business level skill

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
• 2+ years management experience in publishing, customer service or similar production environment with a demonstrated history of delivering innovative solutions to operational issues.
• Demonstrated history of developing employees to take on higher levels of responsibility
• Understanding of Lean and Six Sigma
• Risk management experience
• Experience automating a complex process
• Experience working in startup and internet technologies is preferred.
• Ability to work with technical and non-technical business owners to get things done. This can include developing functional requirements to create new tools or refine existing ones, with a focus on transaction automation, constructing data-driven analyses of new problem spaces, developing business cases with policy and/or implementation recommendations to handle new risks, including scaling with software.
• Experience managing in a tight Service Level environment
• Understanding of copyrights and the publishing industry
• Exceptional level of dedication, motivation, and intelligence.
• Strong oral and written communication skills,
• Strong technical and analytical aptitude, including knowledge of statistical tools and a history of working with engineers to deliver innovative solutions.
