Aviation Security Credentialing Manager

DESCRIPTION

Amazon's Aviation Security (AvSec) team is looking for enthusiastic customer obsessed AvSec Credentialing Specialists (ACS) to join its growing team! The ACS will perform employee credentialing functions at Amazon Air Sites. In support of our internal and external partners these functions include administering the credentialing process for Amazon Air facilities, collecting biometric and biographic information for background clearances and conducting quality assurance audits.

The successful candidate must have a demonstrated ability to utilize their critical thinking skills to challenge conventional wisdom, communicate effectively, and deliver results. The ACS will have a working knowledge of regulatory and organizational requirements for validation and acceptance of Air-badge applications, badge issuance, and compliance audits. AvSec will provide training to become certified for fingerprint collection. The ACS will work closely with the AvSec Program Management (PM) team on special projects and introduce best practices and move with a strong bias for action as the business operation grows.

Key job responsibilities
Execute aviation security credentialing processes following Standard Work practices
25% travel to local node facilities to support New Hire Events, in conjunction with Work Force Staffing
Collect biometric data for fingerprint-based criminal history records checks
Escalate abnormal situations and aviation security-related concerns to the AvSec Program Manager
Serve as a liaison between Site AvSec and AvSec Program Management
Perform Quality Assurance Audits
Provide accurate reporting on credentialing metrics
Perform necessary functions to support New Hire Orientation
Special projects as needed
Routine administrative functions

Eligibility Requirements
• Must be a United States citizen or United States national and pass a security background check as prescribed by the TSA or other government entity
• Work 40 hours/week and overtime as required
• Travel up to 25% locally

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• 1+ year working in a similarly regulated environment (e.g., logistics, air cargo, airline)
• 1+ year of experience in a customer service driven environment
• Functional experience with Microsoft Excel and Word

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's Degree
• 1+ year of experience in one or all of the following disciplines; corporate security management, transportation/supply chain security, aviation security
• 1+ year of Aviation Regulatory Security Compliance experience, specifically TSA and U.S Customs
• Critical thinking and ability to work independently
• Ability to influence others without direct managerial responsibility
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Interpersonal skills with the ability to coach, train and assist team members

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $48,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $115,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
