Our EC2 Engineering Team , is the place where we bring SAP products and AWS services together. Here, we work with SAP and software partners and ensure that enterprises run SAP on AWS, smooth and reliably. As a System Dev Engineer focused on SAP, you will have the opportunity to work together with both, SAP as well as AWS engineering teams plus tech partners.

Our team gives high value to work-life harmony. Due to Covid-19, our team currently works from home and ensure that core working hours stays within 10.00AM to 6.00PM.

The ideal candidate will possess deep technical skill in both SAP products and cloud computing. You can demonstrate how you development, deployment or operated SAP solutions. You have customer facing skills that will enable you to represent AWS well, not only to customers but to the broader community including SAP developers, & architects. The ideal candidate thinks in terms of architecture that impacts AWS and customers' business, not just technology.
  • Technical certification and benchmarking of AWS infrastructure for SAP.
  • Development of SAP-tailored AWS tools- for example to automate SAP operations and management
  • Creation of cloud operations guidelines for SAP (e.g HA, DR, regulatory environments, GDPR, CI/CD).
  • Continuous improvement of AWS-SAP documentation.
  • Identification, development, test and ownership of SAP-AWS best-practices.
  • Joint-debugging and solving of live customer problems together with engineering and support teams.
  • Work with customers to gather requirements and develop a product roadmap
  • Collaborate deeply across AWS services teams to make AWS the best platform for SAP workloads.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS level technical degree or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in software development, implementation, operation or support of ERP products, ERP-related SaaS products, full stack custom development or industry specific solutions
  • 2+ years of experience working with SAP systems (like SAP S/4 HANA, SAP Business Suite, SAP Business Warehouse/BW4HANA, SAP HANA, SAP Cloud Platform, NetWeaver etc)
  • Technical depth and hands on experience in distributed computing, cloud engineering , integration technologies, security frameworks and data migrations


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Advanced Degree in Computer Science or Math.
  • Experience in architecting SAP solutions on AWS and/or integrating SAP solutions (on premise or cloud) with digital technologies.
  • Previous experience with Amazon Web Services and Well Architected Framework
  • Working knowledge of any of the following - Relational and NoSQL databases, Cloud-native application development, Big data analytics, fundamentals of AWS Solutions, Server-less computing, Real-time streaming applications, Integration middleware, API Gateways, Mobile development, Internet of Things, Machine Learning.
  • Experience with Shell scripting, Python, Ruby, Java, or other high-level programming language
  • Functionally led IT project teams across multiple internal and external organizations
  • Experience working for SAP in development, implementation, operation or support
  • Proven experience in designing, set-up, or operation of High Availability, Backup and Recovery architectures
