AWS seeks an audit leader to lead Custom Billing Solutions' newly formed Custom Billing Audit Program. In this position, you must be able to understand technologies used for managing complex business processes and identify the full range of risks related to processes that may include financial, regulatory compliance, operations, and organization policy. You should be comfortable interacting with highly technical software development engineers and business partners. This candidate will specifically partner with management in Sales, Strategic Customer Engagement, Business Development, SOX, AWS Accounting, and Finance to enhance the customer experience related to billing. Candidates must possess the ability to understand business requirements and processes to continue to create an accurate and efficient billing platform for both internal and external customers. Ingenuity and the ability to think outside the box will be a must in this highly ambiguous environment.
You will lead Audit's relationship with Custom Billing leaders and senior leadership and will work closely with them to understand risk posture, the business and key initiatives. You will independently perform and execute audit plans, perform data analytics, prepare written findings, and facilitate business responses and follow up on action items. You will provide support to Custom Billing Solutions and other business partners to identify opportunities for control improvements with the objective of mitigating risk and improving operational performance. Audit areas will include but not limited to technologies used in AWS Billing. Additionally, you will participate in adhoc assignments on priority basis and as directed by Custom Billing leadership.
You must be an excellent writer who can concisely communicate and articulate complex issues in business terms. You must be a strong audit leader, execute audits plans from beginning to end, often executing multiple audits concurrently.
• BA/BS degree in Accounting/Finance/Business or related field
• 6+ years of experience in operational auditing, risk management, compliance, or financial analysis, showing progression in areas for responsibility
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
• Strong risk management experience that includes performing assessments and audits, designing controls, managing enterprise control frameworks, and prioritizing risk.
• A fast learner who can quickly absorb the nuances and behaviors of Amazon's systems architecture. Understanding of modern transaction processing environments is a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Proven history of analyzing data and situations to identify meaningful observations.
• Big 4 audit experience
• Relevant certifications (CPA, CIA, CISA, CRISC, CISSP, CISM, ITIL) preferred
• Understanding of modern transaction processing environments
