We are seeking an experienced ASIC Design Manager to build the next generation of our cloud server platforms. Our success depends on our world-class infrastructure; we're handling massive scale and rapid integration of emergent technologies. As a member of the Cloud-Scale Machine Learning Acceleration team you'll be responsible for the design and validation of inferencing and training products designed to deliver high performance at low cost.

Some of your responsibilities will include scaling our world-class ASIC design team, designing and owning the front end methodologies of our SOC initiatives, driving schedules, priorities and goals to meet complex business needs, acting as a technical point of contact to cross functional SOC development teams, and providing technical leadership through personal example, mentorship, and strong teamwork.

This is a fast-paced, intellectually challenging position, where you'll work with thought-leaders in multiple technology areas. You'll have high standards for yourself and everyone you work with, and you'll be constantly looking for ways to improve our products' performance, quality and cost.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• B.S. Electrical Engineering or related technical field
• 12+ years of experience in ASIC design and verification
• 5+ years experience managing and scaling engineering teams
• Experience with multiple successful ASIC tape outs
• Experience owing significant SOC design blocks

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• M.S. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or related technical field
• Experience working with Synthesis, timing and design constraints
• Experience with design and verification methodologies
• Experience with SOC bring-up and post silicon validation
• Experience with gate level testing and multi clock design practices (CDC)
• Experience with managing outsource vendors
• Meets/exceeds Amazon's leadership principles requirements for this role
• Meets/exceeds Amazon's functional/technical depth and complexity for this role
