We are innovating at the intersection of advertising and e-commerce. We have built a platform for cutting edge advertisements that integrate video, social media and product information. We work with our clients to build new products and create impactful, effortless branding to be seen on Kindle, mobile and display. You would be working with alongside some of the smartest Engineers at Amazon on our largest Big-Data platform.

We are looking for an expert Big Data/Analytics Software Engineer to help us architect the next generation of real-time brand analytics systems supporting a millions of customers. Millions of shoppers access Stores on a daily basis, and we have the mission to provide cutting edge business insights to brand owners on their Store performance. We deal with massive data sets for which we apply cloud and big data solutions to analyze and process. We use technologies like Elastic Map Reduce, Airflow or Elastic Search.

Brand analytics is a nascent program on Amazon Stores, with an exciting roadmap ahead of us. We are seeking a passionate architect that wants to challenge the boundaries of big data and help us build and scale this critical part of Stores and Self Service Performance Advertisement. You have a Software engineer background, with a solid computer science foundation. You have a track record of building and scaling enterprise software systems. You are versed on one or more big data industry-standard platforms. You are a builder, a passionate mentor and an outstanding desire to innovate.

Basic Qualifications

  • BS/MS in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience
  • 7+ years of professional experience in server-side software development
  • Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures, and complexity analysis

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building and operating large-scale software applications
  • Experience with at least one big data platform - Hadoop, Map Reduce, etc
  • Experience using AWS
