Amazon Music UK PR Manager (12 month fixed term contract)

Amazon is seeking a highly-intelligent, high-judgment, self-motivated, and creative PR professional with a depth of experience and/or interest in music and digital entertainment to join the Amazon Music PR team. As a member of this team, you will lead and support high visibility public relations initiatives for Amazon Music in the UK, within the EMEA Amazon Entertainment PR Team. You will work closely with our Amazon Music colleagues globally. The ideal candidate will have experience managing communications with external audiences across music, entertainment, and tech. This candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit and be passionate, creative and eager to learn.
Core Job responsibilities:
• Create opportunities for storytelling across the intersection of music and technology
• Create and drive strategy, campaigns and high-level short and long term plans
• Drive Amazon's digital music narrative in the press and manage external facing Amazon Music messaging
• Write press releases, pitches and PR plans
• Budget management and reporting
• Management of senior Amazon Music leadership
Successfully manage complex, fast-moving and unexpected communications challenges
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree
• 8+ years of PR experience
• Specific PR experience required in digital music, entertainment or consumer tech and/or corporate communications for a music or digital entertainment company
• Experience managing media relationships, and a network of media contacts
• Experience executing product launches, press tours, speaking engagements and driving an overall product narrative and PR plan
• Experience media training execs and providing them with strategic communications council
• Superior written and oral communications skills
• Proven ability to use both strategic and creative thinking

• Strong judgment and the ability to respond quickly, yet thoughtfully, to urgent PR matters
• Ability to work in a remote environment
