Job Description
The Field Product Management Organization (FPMO) makes business decisions for a line of insurance or defined marketplace which appropriately consider product, pricing and risk management levers. They evaluate the opportunities and challenges in the marketplace and build strategies to address them while ensuring integration with other business units to achieve growth and profitability objectives.

The Territory Product Manager (TPM) leads the team in achieving profit and growth targets for an assigned state/region or line(s) of business. Designs, develops, manages and lead strategies, initiatives, and people using product, pricing, and risk management skills to achieve business goals. This person must relocate to Farmington Hills, Michigan. Relocation package negotiable.
The major components of the TPM role include:
- Profitable Growth
- Leverages team to analyze data and make recommendations on rates and underwriting guidelines
- Supports concept creation and design of new programs, plans, process and/or products to solve market specific issues
- Product Implementation
- Leads execution of planned changes, products or projects within the assigned marketplace; including appropriate communication, cross functional integration, and project control across impacted departments
- Ensures cross functional engagement of resources and expertise for successful implementation
- Communicates and presents project information/updates to regional leadership
- Compliance
- Ensures appropriate processes are in place for all aspects of product management
- Development of People
- Creates and executes highly focused development plans to enhance skillsets of employees and future leaders
- Competitive Intelligence
- Leverages team to analyze the competitive landscape to inform product decisions, rate, and underwriting guidelines
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree; 5+ years of related experience
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with ability to effectively communicate specialized terms and data
- Knowledge of product, price, risk management and insurance regulation knowledge, with working knowledge of lines, rate plans and product offerings
- Working knowledge of current industry standards/environment
- Good collaboration and relationship skills
- Ability to plan, implement, manage, and/or sponsor projects of medium/high complexity and/or medium/large scale key initiatives using accepted project management standards
