Job Description

Allstate Insurance Company has an exceptional career opportunity for a SIU Casualty Investigator in Tampa, FL!

As an Allstate SIU Investigator, you will be responsible for investigating claims to detect or deter fraud in accordance with state guidelines and Allstate policies and procedures. Your work will be conducted both in an office and in the field investigating potentially fraudulent insurance claims. You will be responsible for investigating claims and damages that may result from First or Third-Party bodily injury claims. Your investigations include analysis of injuries, interviewing parties and witnesses to the loss, obtaining statements and evidence, and assisting in the evaluation of these claims. This work will require regular field work to loss sites and to meet with involved parties in your market. Occasional overnight travel can be expected for investigation of larger or more complex losses.

Various computer technologies are used to document investigation plans and results within the claims applications, as well as for searching internet resources and databases for information relevant to the investigation of the claim.

Excellent investigational and analytical skills are a key skill set for this position. Customer service and working as a team player with SIU employees and employees in other Allstate departments are also required in this position.

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of casualty experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Litigation experience preferred
  • Complex Case development and Singular Referrals / Cases
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and computer skills
  • Ability to be a self-starter and work independently
  • Persistence and the ability to work through and solve problems
  • Strong analytical skills required
  • Bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply

Please note that this highly demanding field service position will require you to travel in the field as much as 50% of your working time. As a result, you must have a valid driver's license, use of a working and insured vehicle, and be willing to work a flexible schedule to accommodate customers' needs on weekend and extended hours if necessary.
