Job Description

Allstate Insurance Company has an exceptional career opportunity for an Administrative Assistant in our Indianapolis, IN office. The primary role of this job is to provide administrative support the Territory Sales Leader. This role requires independent judgment, attention to detail, a collaborative attitude and strong communication skills. This person will be expected to multi-task by prioritizing work, solving problems and organizing time with minimal supervision. The successful candidate will have a passion for excellence, be able to act independently and anticipates needs.

This position supports our Agency Sales Division. This Division helps develop business policies, processes and programs as well as provides a broad range of support designed to help over 10,000 Allstate Agents and Financial Specialists achieve business objectives. This unit works directly with Allstate business owners and their staff to increase growth in the Financial Services and Property and Casualty areas. Using expertise in recruiting, coaching and training, and sales production, the Agency Sales unit is making a great impact at Allstate by providing the resources to grow sales, agent appointments and market share through in regions across the country!

Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating calendars and schedules for the manager
  • Scheduling meetings and meeting set-up
  • Managing travel plans for the manager
  • Completing expense reports
  • Maintaining distribution lists and organizing charts
  • Preparing presentations
  • Serving as back up to other administrative positions

Job Qualifications

Successful candidates will possess the following experience, skills and attributes:
  • 3 plus years of administrative experience.
  • College degree preferred.
  • Advance knowledge with Microsoft office: Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral
  • Ability to prioritize work and organize own time.
  • Ability to complete professional documents.
  • Handle multiple demands on an on-going basis including familiar situations, sensitive information and some high level contact.
  • Preferred knowledge of insurance industry as well as major department /business unit functions.
