Job Description

The Allstate New Jersey Field Product Management Office (FPMO) makes business decisions which appropriately consider product, pricing, underwriting, and risk management levers. They evaluate the opportunities and challenges in the marketplace and build strategies to address them while ensuring integration with other business units to achieve growth and profitability objectives.

The Field Product Management Consultant II is responsible for contributing to the attainment of profit and growth targets. They coordinate and manage strategies and initiatives using product, pricing, underwriting, and risk management skills that support business goals.

Property Services Analysis and Liaison

Representative and subject matter expert for implementations of new property products and product technologies

Review geographical inspection performance to determine areas of opportunity and out of pattern results

Develop, design, and deliver education courses and materials to support implementations

Conduct analyses for projects and make recommendations to achieve goals

Plan, implement, manage, and/or participate on projects

Track performance and project timeline; communicate and present project status

Independently manage work assignments and navigate obstacles to deliver a quality work product

Provide input into the design of new products including product features, underwriting changes, and/or technology

Coordinate and implement assigned underwriting tactics and execute timely and quality delivery on projects

Prepare assigned work to support pre-implementation activities to include project development and testing plans

Support goals and objectives through product implementation and integrate action plans with key stakeholders

Participate in the development and delivery of communication strategies for deliverables

Assist in the development of an education strategy and materials regarding the implementation of a new product, price, or risk management policy or process

Gather key project measures and provide insights regarding post-implementation production and quality

Conduct Research and Analysis in order to meet business objectives

Understand appropriate data sources and applications to conduct research; identify and resolve basic data issues

Measure results and develop business recommendations; communicate findings to various levels of senior leaders

Review existing process to determine and implement enhancements that will improve quality and drive efficiency

Job Qualifications

Bachelor Degree; 1+ year of related experience (Underwriting, P&C Insurance, Product, Risk Management, etc.)

Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to effectively communicate specialized terms and data with multi-disciplinary groups and all organizational levels

Intermediate knowledge of product, price, and risk management; working knowledge of property and casualty product lines and rate plans

Strong attention to detail and time, process, and project management skills

Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

Intermediate problem- and decision-making skills

Demonstrate and foster a sense of urgency; strong commitment and accountability for achieving results
