The Application Developer creates detailed technical specifications, develops application and system code, participates in code reviews and module testing, and supports ongoing maintenance.
The Application Developer Consultant I participates in coding work units for simple to moderate changes, enhancements, and modules. The Consultant I documents design and code, prepares for and participates in testing reviews, prepares code reviews, and resolves simple to moderate defects.
The successful applicant will carry out an application development role within the Voice Application Development team.
This role is for an application developer, who will be involved in developing, supporting and maintaining a collection of vXML IVR applications within the Enterprise and Voice REST and SOAP services.
Reviews detailed business, functional, and high-level technical requirements including technical recovery, security, and audit to identify the need for, and assist with, the roll-back of units of work
Reviews design materials and participate in design reviews to ensure designs meet requirements for proposed solutions
Participates in creating simple design documents that support interface and technical design and meet solution requirements
Provides/confirms detailed estimates for assigned work units and provide communications for deviations from estimates; proactively works with project managers to ensure appropriate time is allocated to assigned tasks
Generates and codes work units for simple to intermediate changes, enhancements, and modules according to specifications and standards
Accurately documents design and code fixes for all created code to memorialize fixes and dependencies according to established standards
Prepares accurate data for test plan and modules; participate in testing reviews to identify possible issues
Tracks and resolves simple to intermediate defects
Assists in production support activities by determining the nature, impact, and extent of the problem
Assists with change management activities supporting production deployment to Developers, Quality Control Analysts, and Environment Management personnel
Creates and executes unit tests
- Have strong knowledge in application development software language skills;
- Have knowledge of the full SDLC using SCRUM agile methodologies;
- Have solid understanding of test driven development, Git, Jenkins, Artifactory;
- Have strong organizational and communication skills;
- Have the ability to multi task and be a self-starter; and
- Two-year degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related area, or equivalent work experience
- 0-2 years of application development experience
The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation, which includes a drug screen.
