Job Description

Allstate has an exciting opportunity for a Human Resource Strategic Programs Sr. Consultant! This position is in Irving, TX. This individual will be responsible for collaborating with Human Resources leadership to identify projects most critical to the achievement of strategic business goals and to help ensure these projects are delivered on time, within budget and that expected results are achieved. The individual will support the assessment and prioritization of proposed new projects and provide, project planning, management, consulting, delivery support and tracking/analysis for active projects in the portfolio. The HR Strategic Programs team operates within four key areas of practice; Strategy Support and Prioritization, Project Planning and Management, Execution Oversight and Monitoring/Measurement Key Responsibilities: Strategy Support & Prioritization Collaborates with project team members, business stakeholders and project leads to assess new projects. Develops recommendations in collaboration with others and presents findings to team and HR leadership. Supports and assists with strategic prioritization discussions with senior leadership. Project Planning & Management Plans, implements, consults and contributes as a team member on projects that are of moderate to high complexity and are medium-to-large scale using accepted project management methods and standards. Partners with business stakeholders to establish project charters, objectives, timelines, risk analysis, milestones, deliverables, and budgets. Actively builds strong relationships among teams and team members to ensure cooperation on project objectives. Assists in resolving conflicts with team members, project leads and functional managers. Communicates and presents project information to project team members and stakeholders or sponsors at various leadership levels. Identifies and tracks risks and issues and collaborates with project team to mitigate and resolve open items. Provides project management consulting and education as directed. Execution Oversight Contributes to portfolio status updates. Responds to portfolio and project level questions. Measurement/Monitoring Collaborates with project team members and other subject matter experts to identify measures of success associated with new projects. Supports post-implementation measurement and monitoring activities to ensure projects achieve intended objectives. Reviews, synthesizes, and presents project metrics as required or as directed

Job Qualifications

Knowledge/Skills/Experience: - Undergraduate degree/MBA in Business, Finance, HR/OD (or related field) or relevant experience. - 3-5 years of related experience. Experience applying established project management methodologies preferred. PMP certification a plus but not required. - Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office - Strong interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills. - Ability to apply advanced problem solving and cricial thinking skills to continuously improve business outcomes. - Uses evidence and research to influence decisions and requirements. - Able to work within broad and sometimes unclear parameters in moderately to highly complex situations. - Serves as a subject matter expert for their respective discipline(s) from an internal perspective. - Actively shares expertise among peers and other disciplines. - Continually seeks opportunities for learning and development within their respective discipline(s). - Good oral and written communication skills. - Good organizational and time management skills.
