Job Description
This role is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing projects and initiatives within a subset of a field discipline that aligns with claims strategic direction and supports strategic goals. The TCL manages a subset of the operations of a team within a market claim office (MCO), including leading, training, inspiring, engaging and motivating leaders and employees in one or more business segments with a focus on collaboration, innovation, and customer centricity.
National General is seeking a Large Loss Field Leadership Manager - a dynamic, results-driven leader with deep technical expertise and a passion for developing people.
This leadership role oversees a team of Large Loss Adjusters responsible for managing complex, high-severity claims across Commercial, Homeowners, Personal Auto, and Umbrella policies.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in large loss and litigated claims, with strong knowledge of commercial, homeowners, and personal auto bodily injury and UM/UIM claims. This individual excels at strategic decision-making, cultivates a collaborative and high-performing team culture, and demonstrates proven success in people development and talent growth.
Key Responsibilities
Ensures understanding of business objectives, results, processes, etc. with their direct reports
Fosters a collaborative environment that inspires and motivates many employees
Develops and directs business unit action plans
Manages and resolves escalated customer communications, concerns, conflicts or issues
Accountable for human resources duties, including resource management, hiring, performance management, talent development and compensation planning
Responsible for complex claim decisions, identification of hiring, training, and succession planning opportunities, and the development and implementation of short- and long-term strategies and process improvements to achieve corporate financial outcomes
Analyzes results and contributes to the development of strategies and action plans to support the achievement of operational goals related to customer service, loss cost management, and expense controls

Compensation
Base compensation offered for this role is $92,560 - $143,380 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.
*** Total compensation for this role is comprised of several factors, including the base compensation outlined above, plus incentive pay (i.e. commission, bonus, etc.) as applicable for the role.
