Job Description

As such, we need well-rounded and innovative professionals for our Executive Development Program (EDP) Associate. Exclusively for students pursuing their MBA, this internship experience is designed to develop cross-functional leadership competencies. Interns will have the opportunity to drive results and cultivate a culture of collaboration, service, and winning together. Our EDP Associates have an innate ability to engage and motivate others, the desire to continuously learn and share ideas, are inquisitive and deal well with ambiguity and complexity, and have a passion for personal development.

EDP Associate placement is based on your area of concentration, strengths, interests, and business need. Roles include:

  • People management, project management, operations, and P&L management
  • Assignments may also include people and vendor management
  • Formal and experiential learning opportunities in leadership development
  • Mentoring relationships

  • Customer Experience & Retention
  • Product Operations
  • Strategic Operations
  • Risk Management
  • Claims
  • Finance
  • Field Sales Management
  • Technology

While most summer internships will be located in our headquarters in Northbrook, IL, there may also be opportunities in regional offices across the United States. Intern mobility is preferred but is not required.

This associate is designed to prepare new MBA graduates for our full-time Executive Development Program position upon graduation.

Job Qualifications

  • Anticipated MBA graduation date between December 2017 and June 2018
  • GPA requirement – 3.5 or higher (on a 4.0 scale)
  • Minimum of 3 years of post-undergraduate business experience
  • Proven leadership and excellence in professional, academic and/or extracurricular experiences
  • Diverse backgrounds and experiences are welcome, including non-insurance experience
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (including Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
