Process Description – The CAT Support team is part of the Claims Services department located in Irving, Texas. We support the National Catastrophe Team and process many back-end tasks for them.
OAD - Outside Adjuster tasks, many different tasks worked for the adjusters.
Triage - Tasks created due to supplements sent in to the claim.
Auto PCR - Pending claim review, review the claim to make sure it is progressing or close it if needed.
Total Loss Paperwork - Send out total loss paperwork to the insured.
Checks - System and Field Claim Payment check requests from the Auto CAT team, cancel and reissue requests.
Investigates - Items escalated from the Xactimate, Ladder Assist, and check processes that need an adjusters review.
Denial Letters - Denial letters sent to insured requested from outside adjuster.
Agent Letters - Letters sent to Agents when an insured's vehicle is a total loss.
Xactimate Reviews - Review the claim file for accuracy and to approve the file for the adjuster to bill.
Mail Packs - Customer Care pack sent to the insured, it gives info on the claim process.
CAT Imaging Rejects - Imaged documents that have exceptioned out of the imaging process, returned mail.
MOI Calls - Call to insured to set up drive-in or field inspections of their vehicles.
Correct Claim Owner - Change the claim owner on Auto claims that weren't yet coded as CAT.
Title/Lienholder Auto - Contact Lein holders for payoffs or title documents for the total loss process.
EagleView - Payment to vendor for roof pictures and diagrams.
EagleView Refund/AR List - Refunds from EagleView from overpayments, and a list for outstanding invoices.
CAT Recoveries - Recovery of monies due to overpayment of CAT claims.
Property PCR - Pending claim review, review the claim to make sure it is progressing or close it if needed.
Reporting - Reports for the National CAT team.
Ladder Assist - Payment to vendor for roof access and diagrams.
Some processes we will support will be based on the characteristics of that event and therefore have not yet been defined.
- 10 key skills / data entry
- HS diploma
- CAT team – work overtime when needed, 7a-7p and weekends during catastrophe situations
- NextGen and Mainframe experience a plus
- MS Office – Outlook/ Excel
- Team player
- Forward thinker/ proactive
- Customer Service/ Phone Skills
- Insurance background
