Job Description

Enrollment Services supports the operations necessary to enroll Allstate Benefits products on internally managed enrollment technology solutions.

This role supports development and maintenance duties of the Enrollment Services team. Responsibilities include new product development, AB enrollment form account and product configuration on in-house managed technology, Census maintenance, enrollment scenario testing, end user access protocols, report configuration and delivery.

The Sr. Consultant interacts with Enrollment Services leadership and requires customer facing activities. The Sr. Consultant would also interface with Enrollment Operations to manage file processing requirements of designated enrollment systems. In addition, the Sr. Consultant would coordinate with QA, Product Support and Actuary units to insure proper setup and compliance is adhered to for file processing purposes within Allstate managed enrollment tools. The position would also have direct manager accountabilities for junior team members.

Key responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all the system development/enhancement work undertaken keeps the customer and business operations in mind.
  • Ensure that documentation for the system and/or processes the business area owns/supports is comprehensive and adequately maintained.
  • Remediate system issues affecting downstream processing
  • Oversees technical implementations of voluntary benefits programs with Employers and Vendors for the Selerix technology platform
  • Configure EDI parameters for AB production files
  • Collaborate closely with internal business areas, field sales distribution, implementation, finance, compliance, underwriting, new business, customer service and IT, to effectively recognize and solve case level enrollment strategy issues and corporate initiatives
  • Mentor junior team members

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in the Computer Science or Business related fields or related work experience
  • Good oral and written communication skills required
  • 3+ years of experience in account set up and EDI maintenance employee benefits
  • Project management skills – 3 to 5 years of experience managing multiple projects
  • Working and understanding of the voluntary benefit enrollment process
  • Working knowledge of SQL, J-Script and HTML5
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Access and Outlook)
