Warehouse Clerk I - 1st shift (8AM-4PM)
Cycle Counting: This task requires the ability to pay attention to detail, Computer skills, basic math skills, problem solving, written communication, and Forklift Skill. Responsible for operating and entering correct parameters into the JD Edwards Cycle Count Program. Also responsible for making correction in the JD Edwards system to reflect the actual quantity counted. Responsible for communicating with Planner/Buyers if counts are incorrect and require inventory adjustments. Basic Warehousing - Responsible for Replacing Stock / Issuing from Warehouse / Loading Trucks: Responsible in replacing accepted raw material according FIFO (First in, First out), Assistance in filling orders in the warehouse. Maintain location log. Receiving: Responsible for receiving incoming Direct and Indirect materials. Review incoming items to check if the items are supposed to come to Alcon. Responsible for performing JD Edwards receiving procedures (creating receivers thru the computer system). Responsible for noting on carrier's bills of lading any damage that is visible which accrued during transit. Deliver received materials to either incoming inspection or requisioner. Stockroom Functions: Responsible for Issuing components to work orders that are given to the stockroom. This requires following stockroom procedures for issuing (FIFO - First In - First Out). Requires following correct documentation practices when filling out the work orders and clearing logs. Responsible for accurate inventory and transactions into the JD Edwards program. Stock shelves when items are released. Occupational Demand Requirements: Position may require standing, walking, kneeling, twisting, driving, writing, talking, sitting, bending, climbing ladders/steps, handling, turning, stooping, balancing, carrying, grasping, use both feet, use both hands, reaching 1230 in., pushing 1200 lbs., pulling 400 lbs., lifting 130 lbs., lowering 130 lbs., reading, problem solving, verbal communication, reasoning, written communications, math calculations, deadlines under pressure, learning/retaining technical information, exerting up to 100 lbs. of force occasionally or 50 lbs. frequently, or up to 10 lbs. constantly to move objects. Working conditions position may be exposed to include: equipment/mechanical/electrical hazards, unpleasant odors, and hot/cold weather.
Note: Candidate will serve as the freight courier between APD, Penn Ironworks, and Landis buildings. Preferred:1 year of Shipping and Receiving Computer Experience (JD Edwards, Excel, & Word programs), basic math skills (Add, Sub, Multiply, & Divide), ability to solve math and inventory problems, detail oriented, ability to organize, ability to follow written (English) and verbal (English) instruction, ability to do written and verbal of all aspects of the job, ability to be flexible due to assignments changing quickly, and the ability to use basic tools, pallet jack, & operate Fork Lift. Basic Understanding of Standard warehousing/stockroom (FIFO) First in First out procedures. NOTE: Must have a valid drivers license with good driving record.
