The Forklift Distribution Technician; 1st Shift

In this role, a typical day will include:

The Forklift Distribution Technician, Picks replenishments and delivers them to the distribution areas by using a cherry picker forklift. Drives a forklift truck, cherry picker, and/or motorized pallet jack equipped with lifting devices to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials by performing the following key responsibilities.

  • Pick, stock, and pack in an accurate, safe, productive, and professional manner.
  • Ability to drive a forklift.
  • Moves levers and presses pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus.
  • Positions forklift, lifting platform, or other lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials and transports load to designated area.
  • Unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering lifting devices.
  • Loads or unloads materials onto or off pallets, skids, or lifting devices.
  • Inventories materials on the work floor.
  • Ensures inventory integrity in the pick locations through cycle count process.
  • Maintains a clean and organized work area.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English.
  • Work hours: Monday-Friday 6:30 am to 3:00 pm
