Staff Process Engineer - MS&T

Ensures oversight of technical processes and quality aspects, end to end throughout the supply chain on the site level to maintain and improve product process capability, quality and compliance. Position must coordinate with Operations, Procurement, Engineering, Quality, Facilities, Regulatory Affairs, R&D, IT, & Safety.

Responsible for providing program leadership of projects including but not limited to technical de-velopment/improvements to improve product process quality, technology transfer, cost improvements, business continuity. Provides technical leadership and direction in the areas of manufacturing, best practice development, and process innovation for site-wide initiatives and for cross-functional teams comprised of subject matter experts. Work collaboratively across Alcon sites to identify and communicate process-related best practices. Develop team members by providing training opportunities, promoting a team environment, and preparing them for higher levels of responsibility. Responsible for authoring technical reports, memoranda and white papers to support, document and disseminate process innovation and best practice development. Collaborate closely with production and quality to support site objectives by effectively utilization of Six Sigma, DFMEA / PFMEA, 5S, Kaizen, and other lean manufacturing principles.

Define and prioritize areas of opportunity by monitoring critical process parameters and product attributes. Develop and manage specific initiatives with site-wide ramifications. Drive root cause identification and the development of in-depth technical knowledge across the platforms.

Minimum requirements
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of directly related experience. The ability to read, write, understand and communicate in English. 7 Years of Relevant Experience.

Preferred:
-BS/MS in Engineering, Chemistry, Material science, Pharmaceutical Technology, or equivalent scientific degree
- Master's Degree
- Master Six Sigma Black Belt
- Experience in process support/development and process improvement.
- Desired 8 years experience in GMP manufacturing
- Demonstrated experience with technology transfer and process innovation.
-Proven ability to lead complex projects spanning multiple functional areas and cross-functional teams.
-Desired 5 year experience in project management
-Understand and communicate in German
