Sr QA Engineer

The role of the Quality Engineer II is to investigate and resolve manufacturing nonconformance’s and make improvements to the manufacturing process/quality systems and procedures that result in streamlined and effective operation of the site.

Support quality engineering improvements for a specific product line or production equipment. Investigate and disposition non-conforming product, and participate/lead corrective action/preventive action (CAPA) planning and problem-solving efforts. Enter non-conforming investigation data into quality systems for tracking, trending and effectiveness reviews to demonstrate continuous improvement. Work with production, engineering, quality, and scheduling departments all while providing recommendations for improving quality and throughput. Responsible for fast response and determination of root cause via data driven investigation. Uses risk analysis tools and fact based approach to solving problems. Use of Lean/Six-Sigma methodologies to improve reliability of manufacturing processes. Owns the change control process in a specific area and provides appropriate feedback and assistance to others to assist in the completion of projects. Occupational Demand Requirements: Position may require visual acuity, talking, reading comprehension, reasoning, calculating, composing, problem solving, verbally communicating, learning and retaining, presenting, negotiating, meeting deadlines, contact with external customers, irregular schedule, exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.

The person in this role will be measured by NCR/CAPA’s completed on time. Compliance and Audit items completed on time. Projects completed on schedule and within budget.
