Sr Package Engineer I

Safety/Housekeeping - Keep work areas clean and free of hazards or dangerous conditions, and work safely. Perform and document routine assessments of area to identify / confirm ongoing compliance to safety and housekeeping requirements.

Planning - Carry out activities in line with Site and Package Engineering Department priorities. Assess work load and business demand/project timelines to prioritize based on Product Launch Requests (PLRs). Adjust activities according to client requests (e.g., Planning, Production, QA).

Technical - Maintain documentation control within Package Engineering; oversee systems used for documentation. Generate and coordinate the review and revision of documents such as specifications, procedures, checklists, bills of materials, pallet patterns, drawings, and package assembly work instructions. Ensure that controlled documents are processed according to timelines. Maintains departmental files in accordance with document control procedures. Provide approval of art templates and change control requests for Package Engineering Dept. Suggest improvements to workflow of controlled document creation and revision. Assist in managing the department's main specification document control and communication software systems. Utilize CAD applications to create and modify specification drawings.

Team - Collaborate with co-workers to meet business objectives and enhance team capability. Develop personal knowledge and skill, continuously learn, and complete all required training. Share knowledge and experience with co-workers to develop team's overall capability. Coordinate work activities with other Package Engineering Team members.

Interfaces - Coordinate with other HSE groups, regulatory agencies, and internal customers to accomplish objectives. Coordinate user training on specification document control system, including creation and maintenance of user manuals. Represent Package Engineering on artwork change control teams (Global Graphics, QA Compliance, Planning, Production, Purchasing).
