Optimization Engineer - FWN

Lead a small team of technical experts to identify, design and implement improvements to equipment and processes across multiple business units and production platforms.

  1. Hires, develops, and leads a diverse team of technical experts.

  2. Lead site projects and coordinate cross functional teams to resolve and implement timely solutions to complex problems.

  3. Utilizes engineering methods to optimize the manufacturing process to provide sustainable gains in quality and yield.

  4. Identifies and Executes projects to meet and improve the site KPIs (e.g. yield, material usage, OEE)

  5. Actively supports the annual objectives for the Continuous Improvement Program (CIP).

  6. Participates in major site Lean improvement (Gemba) events, that achieve reductions in Lead/Cycle Time and process defects.

  7. Works within the organization at all levels utilizing a very "hands-on" approach to creating value and buy-in as the lead change driver.

Preferred: BS in Mechanical, Electrical, or Process Engineering

o 2 years of production experience with at least 1 year of supervisor experience

o Experience in Change Management, Project Management, Communications and Coaching, with demonstrated application

Preferred:

o 4+ years of pharmaceutical production experience with three years at supervisor level.

o Experience achieving results through utilization of Lean, Six Sigma and related Continuous Improvement systems, methodologies and tools.

o Experience in project leadership role with proficiency using various project management tools used to build and track projects (Example: MS Project).

  • Min: Certification as a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
  • Preferred: Certification as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt
  • Fluency in English essential.
  • Knowledge/Fluency of at least one other language preferred
