Industrial Maintenance Mechanic (High Speed Mfg)-Night Shift

Alcon is in the midst of an exciting expansion of our Johns Creek Manufacturing Facility. We are continually looking for Maintenance Technicians/Electromechanics for current and future openings supporting the installation, optimization and on-going maintenance of our Dailies contact lens manufacturing lines.

Maintenance Technicians/Electromechanics assist in the installation, startup and validation of the Dailies contact lens production equipment.

Troubleshoot, repair and perform preventative maintenance to the Dailies production equipment.

Minimize production downtime and improve yield and quality.

Assist with the training and development of Maintenance Technicians/Electromechanics and production personnel.

Troubleshoot, repair and perform preventative maintenance for all production equipment including technical problems in mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical and control systems.

Assist with improvements to the maintenance systems (preventative, corrective, predictive and spare parts).

Assist with technical projects for process upgrades and improvements. Assist with revising or writing SOP’s.

Deliver training material to other Maintenance Technicians/Electromechanics for equipment, maintenance and troubleshooting.

Optimize manufacturing equipment and process to provide sustainable gains in product quality, output, yield and cost reduction.

Work Schedule:

12-Hour Rotating Shift

Day Shift (6:00 AM – 6:30 PM)

Night Shift (6:00 PM – 6:30 AM)

Premium Pay:

12-Hour Day Shift – 5% Shift Premium

12-Hour Night Shift – 15% Shift Premium

Candidates must have the flexibility to work both day and night shifts.

No relocation expenses will be paid for this position.

Experience: 3 years of related experience with technical certification or 5 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment if no technical certification; experience must include manufacturing equipment maintenance, repair and trouble shooting. Experienced in FDA regulations and safety practices preferred.

Skills: Minimum Required: : Proven expert level skills in 2 or more electromechanical core disciplines (mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, control systems, and/or equipment schematics). Good PC skills. Preferred Level: Experience with vision systems, automation, PLC logic (Siemens / TwinCat).

Shift Flexibility: Candidates must have flexibility to work 12-hour rotating day and night shifts.
