Head of HSE Process Integration
In alignment with the Alcon HSE & BCM Strategy, the purpose of this role is to provide strategic direction and expertise that ensures the effective integration of HSE into the entire product lifecycle. An additional purpose is to facilitate the successful alignment and execution of HSE & BCM strategies with both the strategic and operational needs of an Alcon Manufacturing Franchise
Leadership Leads the implementation of agreed and aligned strategic plans and initiatives, and sets clear objectives for the sites within the Franchise in line with HSE & BCM vision. Guides the MTO sites through the budget planning process to ensure resources are in place to support the strategic plan and associated objectives. Serves as the primary point of contact on HSE & BCM performance and risks within an Alcon Manufacturing Franchise (Surgical or Vision Care). Delivers on the HSE & BCM targets for Alcon as measured by the HSE & BCM Scorecard. Leverages subject matter experts from the Global HSE & BCM CoEs to deliver the required results and customer service levels. Coaches and supports the talent development of the team of Alcon site HSE & BCM Professionals. Develops and drives global implementation of strategies, processes and procedures to ensure conformance division-wide with all pertinent Novartis and Alcon HSE Requirements across related subject matters (e.g. HSE by design) Leads, develops and implements a strategy that ensures HSE & BCM is integrated into the planning, procurement, design, construction, installation, commissioning, operation and maintenance processes of all projects Develops and implements a strategy to ensure HSE & BCM risks of acquisitions and divestitures are minimized and controlled. Implementation and Operations Governance: Supports and drives compliance with all pertinent HSE & BCM regulations, permits, statutes, local ordinances and/or other externally driven requirements. Supports and drives conformance with all pertinent Novartis HSE & BCM requirements. Develops HSE & BCM goals, targets and key performance indicators for the Alcon Medical Device organization in alignment with the Global HSE & BCM TechOps Leadership Team and Alcon MTO Leadership Team Operations: Ensures that effective and efficient HSE & BC Mgt Systems and supporting programs are implemented in consideration of each site's operational complexity, size, population, regulatory environment, and other factors. Provides the MTO Franchise Leadership Team, Site Heads and Site HSE & BCM Officers with consultation and support on technical HSE&BCM risks, incident investigations, CAPA implementation, periodical reporting and communication plans, as well as other efforts necessary to drive the HSE & BCM culture through the organization.
