Global Mgr, eCommerce, Content/Catalog

Lead & manage the Alcon Global eCommerce content and catalog system and process, including the Surgical and Vision Care eCommerce systems. The existing Vision Care B2B system handles approximately $500M in annual revenue, and the addition of the new Surgical B2B eCommerce system, with an estimate of $200M in annual revenue in year 1. This role includes being the lead for all product content and catalog information, setting the standard for Customer Experience excellence. Also provides input and expertise on Alcon’s eCommerce system and UX (user experience) across all platforms. This is a 60% strategic/40% execution role.

o Contribute to the eCommerce thinking in building stronger Customer Experience

o Thought leadership and strategic leadership in developing the Alcon Global eCommerce experience

o Develop strong partnerships with key stakeholders such as Franchise, local markets, IT, PIM team, and others that support a successful Alcon Global eCommerce enterprise system

o Seek out and strategically apply industry standards, best practices, and the latest technology to ensure the highest quality customer experience in our eCommerce application(s)

o Ensure that all regulatory, security, and privacy specifications are met for data integrity & confidentiality for Alcon & our customers

  • Integrate cross-franchise as appropriate, creating a “best practice” system for optimum user experiences for our Customers & Consumers. This includes necessary strategic alliances for content & experiences, as well as mobile applications
  • Measure & report appropriate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) relevant to showcase business impact
  • Contribute thinking to new frontier of Digital platforms for Alcon as part of the Global Digital team

Minimum requirements • BA in Marketing, Business, Arts/Sciences or equivalent work experience

  • Fluency in English essential
  • Digital Marketing capabilities through learning opportunities, such as ANA or AMA, etc. and/or prior work experience
  • 7+ Years’ experience in Healthcare/Pharma, Medical Device preferred
  • 3+ Years’ experience in eCommerce applications with extensive experience with functional order-to-cash systems, SAP Hybris experience a plus
  • 5+ Years’ experience in project management methodologies (Novartis ICE or similar)
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills for Executive Level discussions
