Engineer II (Industrial)-Surgical Product Line-1st shift

Lead Industrial Engineering assignments of a broad nature while analyzing production methods, revising labor standards and assisting manufacturing management in optimizing labor, equipment and facilities. Perform independent evaluations by selecting and applying standard Industrial Engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.

Primary Accountabilities

1.Identify opportunities, initiate projects, and independently implement change in existing operations to attain quality, cost, productivity, and safety improvements.

2.Demonstrate knowledge of all equipment and processes in the areas of responsibility.

3.Provide support to engineering and manufacturing areas to realize Continuous Improvement objectives. Prepare new product, process, and capital project cost analysis.

4.Design and generate factory performance and trend reports. Monitor shop floor performance against standards. Investigate operations to identify root causes of production problems. Independently perform detailed analyses of problems and define and execute plans to implement change.

5.Study and propose plant layout/facility redesign for an integrated efficient operation.

6.Perform and summarize work sampling studies and time studies to establish requirements for direct and indirect labor. Act as a resource for designing and training personnel on new manufacturing methods, techniques, and procedures.

7.Play an integral part in the annual budgeting process by adjusting yields, revising product standards, and setting frozen costs for the upcoming year. Minimum requirements Bachelor of Science in a related technical discipline from an accredited college or university

Minimum:3 years in a manufacturing environment in an engineering role

Preferred:7 years in an Industrial Engineering role in a pharmaceutical or medical device facility.
