Digital Product Manager - Consumer


Job Description

Alcon, the world leader in ophthalmology, is looking for an experienced Digital Product Manager to join an exciting new team focused on driving a novel business innovation forward. The Digital Product Manager executes the product roadmap, collaborates cross-functionally with design, engineering, business, and operations to deliver the product strategy and vision, continuously iterating with user feedback to ensure KPIs are met. A successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to translate business requirements into engineering-ready specifications and designs.

Responsibilities

•Serve as the voice of the customer in the continued product evolution of the digital solution/platform
•Conduct data analysis, market research, and user research to gain an understanding of customer needs through user personas, pain points and journeys and translate into product requirements across the team
•Execute the product roadmap, including product requirements, business cases, user stories, experience design, acceptance criteria, and critical test cases to drive QA and regression testing and rapid delivery in an Agile environment
•Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to scope, design, concept test and deliver product enhancements and/or new products
•Engage closely with the engineering team to help determine the best technical implementation methods including estimating work efforts, defining milestones and managing resources accordingly
•Foster tight partnerships with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, marketing, sales, customer service, legal and operations
•Possess a deep understanding of digital trends in and outside of Eye Care
•Develop hands-on, in-depth knowledge of competitive products and maintain technical analysis of competitive strengths and weaknesses
•Gather and manage product feedback through surveys, concept testing, analytics tools, and A/B testing
•Develop, monitor and report on KPIs, generating easily digestible executive reports with actionable recommendations to optimize the product
•Assist with the development of business cases and operating plans for new product features

Minimum requirements

*Minimum requirements
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Preferred: A bachelor's degree from an accredited educational institution in a technical discipline
• English 5 years of relevant experience with a college degree
• Preferred: 4+ years of professional experience with 1-2+ years of mobile/digital product management experience with a CPG, Consumer Healthcare Consumer Tech and/or Digital/PR/Media Agency space

Preferred:

5 years of product management experience in a high growth B2B technology/software company
•Excellent customer experience intuition; demonstrated success in creating innovative and user-friendly software applications and customer-facing features
•Empathy for user problems, and an ability to distill insights into the right product answer
•Strong entrepreneurial spirit - can take an ambiguous problem statement and then drive it to a clear roadmap with proven results
•Demonstrated experience in translating strategic differentiators into innovative and detailed product requirements
•Proven ability to make smart features (customer experience) versus time-to-market trade-offs
•Agility, able to quickly pivot to respond to evolving threats and opportunities
•Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complicated concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
•Strong design instincts
