Communications Manager- Global Business and SAP transformation

Partners with the IRIS Global Communications and Change Management Leader and Global Corporate Communications to create and deliver an integrated communication strategy for the Global IRIS function, aligned with Alcon and Novartis communication strategies. Executes/coordinates key projects and manages IRIS communication channels.

  • Defines, coordinates and executes communications programs across IRIS Globally
  • Designs and delivers unified messaging around IRIS Program
  • Supports the development of the communication strategy in collaboration with other IRIS communicators across the program
  • Supports other strategic communications priorities: (e.g. IRIS Transformation and Marketing, IRIS story-telling, as appropriate)
  • Develop standard communications tools, templates, methods and plans to be deployed globally
  • Work with other change management and communications leaders across Alcon and Novartis to seek synergies in the execution of change activities across parallel initiatives
  • Define, manage and complete the communication plans
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders including but not limited to: Steering Committee, Alcon ELT, Novartis Group, Global Corporate Communications, and other Alcon and Novartis groups
  • Capture program benefits and package into communications which support transformation campaign
  • Drives or supports awards/recognition programs as needed for IRIS
  • Create the communications team including hiring, development and creation of organization structure and processes which includes overseeing consulting resources Develops and drives a channel strategy for IRIS Global Communications
  • Develops a unified Yammer strategy and plan
  • Maintains IRIS intranets (Spectrum), identifies and proposes opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Drives or supports events as needed, including Town Halls, webcasts
  • Coordinates local associate interactions and meetings with the IRIS Leadership Team
  • Supports IRIS Communications and Change Management Leader in developing monthly/quarterly leadership communications for IRIS leaders, as well as quarterly messages and newsletters, as needed
  • Write and distributes N-2 announcements for IRIS Primary contact for the IRIS Global Communications function:
  • Develop global communications solutions, considering local and regional communication needs and structures, and drives for harmonization by using ChangeEx fundamentals where appropriate
  • Publish communication as per plan via diverse set of communication channels
  • Adept at writing stories in Newsletters, Intranet, Yammer posts
  • Manage the communication plan with all relevant stakeholders
  • Measure the success per communication channel regular feedback, tracking statistics and align with over all change measurement approach
