Application Development Expert, PI

Job Description
This position will be responsible for designing, developing, reviewing, debugging and unit testing SAP PI/PO application.

• Analyzes support issues in interaction with functional team members and business analysts. Reports delays and risks to team leads
• Supports existing and new interfaces, and has good understanding of integration with 3rd party tools
• Collaborates with many teams including security, functional, development and operations support groups to efficiently and effectively deliver operational excellence
• Collaborates with other Alcon IT groups in order to solve technical issues. Establishes and monitors escalation of problems
• Works with other development teams in support of application performance tuning and troubleshooting
• Collaborates with Change and Release Management to ensure a stable operating environment during any transitions and changes
• Collaborates with Integration Management to ensure stable operating environ-ment
• Ensures all processes are in compliance with Alcon's policies and procedures.

Minimum requirements • Bachelor's degree is required
• SAP Certification is preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in PI development
• Experience in PI and java stack only versions
• Experience in HTTP, IDOC, RFC, SOAP, REST, FILE, JMS Adapters
• Experience in PI Mapping and BPM
• Knowledge of SLD configuration, NWA configuration, message monitoring tools
• Architecture knowledge of PO Single stack (Java only)
• Experience with ABAP proxy, IDOCs, Function Modules/ BAPI, BADI, Customer-exits, ALE / IDOC framework (configuration, customization, trouble-shooting and monitoring)
• Experience of Java mapping within PO
• Basic to Intermediate level knowledge of SAP modules including but not limited to: SAP SD, FI, SCM, PP, SRM, CRM, S/4HANA
• Excellent working knowledge of ITIL/ITSM service management practices, specifically incident management, change management and problem management
• Capability to think strategically
