QUOTATIONS/BIDS/NEGOTIATIONS/PROCUREMENT INDIRECT MATERIALS, SERVICES, CAPITAL EQUIPMENT CONSISTENT WITH QUALITY, SERVICE, PRICE, AND SUITABILITY FOR USE. ASSIST WITH SUPPLIER, MANAGEMENT, AND PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENT. ASSIST WITH MONTHLY REPORTING. ASSIST WITH INTERNAL DEPARTMENT TRAINING AND NEW REQUISITIONER/APPROVER TRAINING. ASSIST WITH SUPPLIER AUDITS AS REQUIRED. RESPONSIBLE FOR DEVELOPING DEPARTMENTAL POLICIES/PROCEDURES/COMPLIANCE AS REQUIRED. EFFECTIVELY COORDINATE ACTIVITIES WITH REQUISITIONERS, RECEIVING, FINANCE AND EXTERNAL/INTERNAL CUSTOMERS. - THROUGH KNOWLEDGE OF METHODS FOR PROCUREMENT OF EQUIPMENT, SUPPLIES, AND SERVICES IN A MANUFACTURING ENVIRONMENT. - BROAD UNDERSTANDING OF SUPPLIER MANAGEMENT, SALES REPRESENTATIVE TECHNIQUES, CONDUCTING SUPPLIER MEETINGS, MARKET CONDITIONS, SOURCING TECHNIQUES, BUSINESS LAW. - INTERPRETATION & APPLICATION OF PROCUREMENT POLICIES AND PROCEDURES. - KNOWLEDGABLE AND CAPABLE IN USE OF BUSINESS SOFTWARE (WORD PROCESSING/SPREADSHEET TOOLS) AND BUSINESS MACHINES. - EXPERIENCED IN SUPPLIER NEGOTIATIONS, COST ANALYSIS, ESTABLISHING SPECIFICATIONS FOR ITEMS TO BE PROCURED/ DETERMINING BEST METHODS FOR PROCUREMENT. - EFFECTIVE INTERPERSONAL, VERBAL, AND WRITTEN COMMUNICATION SKILLS. - EXPERIENCED IN MAIN FRAME COMPUTER APPLICATIONS FOR PURCHASING. - TYPING/DATA ENTRY MIN 55 WPM. - GOOD ORGANIZATIONAL AND PROBLEM SOLVING SKILLS.
