Development Coordinator: Foundation

Summary:

The Development Coordinator is responsible for supporting the corporate alliance outreach and acquisition efforts of Akron Children's Hospital.  

Responsibilities:

1. Supports the corporate alliance outreach and acquisition efforts of Akron Children's Hospital.
2. Manages the process of creating ongoing relationships with corporate partner prospects/donors and solicits gifts.
3. Strategizes outreach tactics, conducting outreach to potential corporate partners, and negotiating campaign alignments.
4. Serves as the liaison between the Foundation and advisory committees.
5. Coordinates and stewards larger third-party, independent fundraising projects held by corporations and individuals.
6. Other duties as required.

Other information:

Technical Expertise

1. Experience in fundraising, marketing, or sales is required.
2. Travel and valid Ohio driver’s license is required.
3. Experience working with all levels within an organization is required.
4. Experience in healthcare is preferred.
5. Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar software is required. Database management software is required; Raiser’s Edge software is preferred.

Education and Experience

1. Education: Associate's degree is required; Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field is preferred.
2. Certification: None.
3. Years of relevant experience: 3 to 5 years is preferred.
4. Years of experience supervising: None.
