Policy Partnerships Associate, France (Fixed Term Contract)

Role & Responsibilities

  • Help identify, build and project-manage strategic partnerships with public and private sector institutions within the government, tourism, small business, urbanism, economic development,  and innovation sectors in cities across France
  • Work cross-functionally and build strong internal relationships across Airbnb to deliver creative initiatives that support policy objectives and demonstrate the broader benefits of home sharing to communities and cities across France
  • Manage logistics of individual partnership projects from start to finish, including identifying and scoping opportunities, laying out agreements, coordinating rollouts etc.
  • Engage in research, writing and other activities to provide analysis and critical thinking on how Airbnb can support tourism, economic development, innovation, regeneration and the sharing economy in cities in France
  • Help manage Airbnb's presence at tourism, sharing economy, and urbanism conferences across France.
  • Play a supportive role to policy where needed.


  • 3+ years professional experience, ideally with significant experience in project management and partner engagement.
  • First-rate project management skills
  • Understanding of government, tourism and urban issues a plus.
  • Ability to communicate quickly, effectively and accurately to various audiences.
  • Comfort with a fast-paced environment and changing requirements. Startup experience a plus.
  • Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty and ambiguity.
  • Ability to work within tight deadlines, adjust to changes in priorities, and balance short term needs with long term strategic initiatives.
  • Ability to travel and have a flexible schedule.
  • Languages:  Fluent in French and English
