Growth Marketing Lead, Engagement

The Growth Marketing team at Airbnb is looking for an exceptional individual to manage the engagement marketing team to develop overarching growth strategies for Airbnb’s notification programs (i.e. engagement and growth through channels such as email, text and SMS). This person will be a thought partner and trusted stakeholder to functional leads and business partners across Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Finance to set and exceed aggressive growth targets. This role is based in San Francisco.
What you’ll do:
- Help build the vision and set the future direction of engagement marketing for key audience segments within Airbnb across both hosts and guests.
- Develop strategic programs that accelerate the growth of Airbnb through insights, analysis and experimentation.
- Build a best-in-class notification program through thought leadership and partnership with cross-functional leads across Engineering, Data Science, and Product.
- Build and manage a team of growth marketers specialized in engagement and channel management.
What we’re looking for:
10+ years of relevant work experience.
Strong leadership skills with experience managing direct reports including ability to mentor and coach future managers.
Ability to define a team vision and gain alignment across functions.
Excellent and deep understanding of notifications and channel management with strong interest in how it works “under the hood” (aka tracking and understanding which tool to use within the marketing stack).
Proven experience using A/B and multivariate testing to drive growth of a consumer product at global scale, including ability to interpret metrics and results and tell a story using data.
Experience and working knowledge of at least one major ESP or push provider. This can be a 3rd party or in-house solution.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to work well across teams, functions and geographies with high autonomy and little guidance.
High level of organizational and project management skills.
