EMEA Law Enforcement Response (French)

No global movement springs from individuals. It takes an entire team united behind something big. On the Trust and Safety team at Airbnb, we’re proud to be at the forefront of the sharing economy. We recognize that we are the leaders of a new, worldwide phenomenon, and it’s why we’ve worked so hard to build the trust at its foundation.

With 100 million lifetime guests, and 3 million listings in over 190 countries, trust is what makes it work. Together, we work hard, we laugh a lot, and we are passionate about working to create the most trusted community in the world. We are looking for a Law Enforcement Investigator to assist the response team with all enquiries.

This individual should be committed to protecting user data while ensuring our community remains a trustworthy environment. We are looking for an enthusiastic, passionate, diplomatic and personable candidate to add value to the team.

Responsibilities

Possessing a natural desire to bring order to chaos, be available and have a good relationship with your peers, and promote and foster excellence, continually striving to raise the bar and support Law enforcement and TnS operational goals. The ideal candidate will be somebody who can deal with sensitive content and situations, maintaining a cool, calculated and pragmatic attitude in emergency cases.

You will protect users' information by serving as a data gatekeeper; ensuring legislative guidelines and Airbnb policies are followed. You will analyze and accurately respond to a variety of legal requests for user data working directly with law enforcement authorities, government and tax agencies and court officials including search warrants, court orders, international requests and subpoenas.

You will use investigative skills to dig into crimes reported both on and off the platform; investigate incoming cases from law enforcement as well as detect criminal behavior via the platform and prepare written legal reports.

Requirements

  • Cool and calculated in emergency situations
  • Great judgement and ability to quickly problem-solve independently and part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills both written and via telephone
  • Interest in data and SQL
  • Available for possible on-call
  • Fluent in French
